    in this sentence. we have a problem
    “painted” can be an adjective that describes pictures.

    “painted” can be the past participle of “paint” in present perfect

    • you’re absolutely right right, but to indicate the adjective you need a definite or indefinite article ( i have a / the / painted picture) , without them you’re having the past participle of the verb
